Round shield in woven rattan, its interior includes a ring and a handle to be carried in one hand. It is generally used in addition to a short broadsword (sold separately). Traditional model, relatively heavy and durable. It can be used in taolu or in Sparring against dummy weapons with foam coating, in particular with the Hanwei Sparring broadswords (ref. The weapons in our catalog, marked as "Dummy Weapons", are the only ones that can be wielded with a partner, during Drills or Sparring. However, these practices are not without risk, it is absolutely essential to only use this equipment under the supervision of a qualified and qualified teacher.

Sparring with weapons exists in different forms. Relatively strong strikes, thrusting techniques carried by the tip of the weapon, and strikes on certain parts of the body are sometimes authorized. The type of fake weapons, the choice of materials, as well as the type of protection used, must be adapted to the use. It is very important to note that none of our imitation weapons or protection should be used at full strength, with the application of uncontrolled force.
