Use of this equipment

- Type of use:
This mask is suitable for the use of foam, plastic or wooden dummy weapons. Concerning dummy metal weapons (also called "simulators"), they can be used, with the addition of a mask cover and a gorget. This equipment must absolutely never be used with metal weapons not intended for this purpose!

- Dummy Weapons - Foam:
Light Sparring and classic Sparring, with or without thrusts (force must remain controlled).
Required: Gloves. Optional: Chest Protector, Gorget, Groin Guard, Mouthguard.

- Dummy Weapons - Plastic / Wood:
Light Sparring only, no hard hitting!
Required: Gloves and Chest Protector. Optional: Arms Guard, Gorget, Thigh Protector, Shin Protector, Groin Guard.

- Dummy Weapons - Metal ("Simulator" only):
Light Sparring only, no hard hitting!

Weapons have always played a central role in Chinese martial arts. These are mostly used alone, in Taolu. The weapons in our catalog, marked as "Dummy Weapons", are the only ones that can be wielded with a partner, during Drills or Sparring. However, these practices are not without risk, it is absolutely essential to only use this equipment under the supervision of a qualified and qualified teacher.

Sparring with weapons exists in different forms. Relatively strong strikes, thrusting techniques carried by the tip of the weapon, and strikes on certain parts of the body are sometimes authorized. The type of fake weapons, the choice of materials, as well as the type of protection used, must be adapted to the use. It is very important to note that none of our imitation weapons or protection should be used at full strength, with the application of uncontrolled force.
